These are decorations from Kiah and Josh's Reception July 25, 2014. This pictures don't reflect the coziness that was in the gym. With all the books and homemade decorations, it was really cute and fun.
All of the hears were cut from old books or music. Kiah folded the origami hearts. Some of the book hearts were sewn into garland and used around the room and over head.We wrapped all the books in brown butcher paper, and we cut pages from an old book to line the jars with. (we made sure there was no inappropriate dialogue, hahaha)
The Cake!
In stead of a guest book, Kiah asked guests to write notes on these cards, which she later bound into a book with cute paper.
The windows on the wall came out of my parents home when they remodeled in 1980.
All of the greenery and a lot of other pieces, including the lights and backdrops and tons of other stuff were generously loaned by my friend Kris Smith. She is amazing!!!! I have to give props to Dana Peterson, and Cara Stewart too. They were all invaluable and spent long hours at the church helping us. Rod Smith earned the Home Teacher of the Decade award for all he did!
I thought I had a better picture of these crates. We had a couple of crates stacked on top of each other and put jars and books in them. Super cute!
The food table! The banner on the wall says, "Love is Sweet"
Here is some of the heart garland that we sewed with a sewing machine.
This door came from Kris, but we also had a couple from my mom and dads house.
The Photographer took these pictures right after the wedding, and had the prints done at a one hour photo place in time for the reception that evening!
